மதம், சடங்குகள், சம்ப்ரதாயங்கள் ஒரு குழந்தைக்கு எப்படி நடைவண்டியோ அப்படித்தான். சுயமாக நடக்கத் தெரிந்த பிறகும் யாரும் நடை வண்டியை பிடித்துகொண்டிருப்பதில்லை. உண்மையை உணர்ந்தவர்கள் யாவரும் எல்லா அடையாளங்களையும் விட்டவர்களாகவே இருக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் இது தானாக நிகழவேண்டியது. சடங்குகளில் ஒரு அழகுணர்ச்சி ஒழுங்கு இருக்கிறது. மனம் ஒருமைப்பட, எண்ணங்கள் நேர்பட அவ்வளவே. சாத்திரங்கள் ஒருவன் அடைய வேண்டிய இலக்குக்கு உதவலாம் கையில் எடுத்துச் செல்லும் முகவரி குறிப்பு போல. இலக்கை அடைந்த பிறகும் அந்தத் தாளை வைத்துக்கொண்டே அலைவது வீணே. நடைவண்டிக்கு ஒரு இடம் கண்டிப்பாக உண்டு ஆனால் அதுவே எல்லாமாகாது.
இதை ஏன் இப்போது சொல்ல வேண்டியிருக்கிறதென்றால் இன்று நாம் நடைவண்டியை அது தோன்றியதன் பலனிற்கு அல்லாமல் உன் நடைவண்டியை விட என்னுடையது அழகாக, உறுதியாக, அலங்காரமாக உள்ளது பார் எனப் பெருமை பேசுவதில் நேரம் கழிகிறது. இது நடைவண்டிக்கு பெருமை சேர்க்க அல்ல அதன் மூலம் அகந்தையை குளிர்விக்கத்தான். நான் பெரியவன், நீ என்னை விட சிறியவன் என்று பெருமை பேச நடைவண்டி முன்னிறுத்தப்படுகிறது. மனதின் இந்தக் கயமை புரிந்துவிட்டால் முழு விடுதலை தான். நடைவண்டி இல்லாமல் ஒருவன் நடக்கத் துவங்குவதில்தான் அதன் உண்மையான பயன் உள்ளது. நடைவண்டிக்கான உண்மையான மரியாதையும் அதுதான்.
Religion, rituals and customs are like a walker for a baby. Once learning to walk, no one uses the walker. People who have understood/realized the truth are usually the ones who disregarded all the marks or give too much importance to them. But this has to happen on its own. Rituals have aesthetics, order that helps in focusing thoughts. That’s it. Customs can help someone to reach their destination like an address note. It doesn’t make sense to keeping the note after reaching the destination. Walker got its own space, but it’s not everything.
Why we need to talk about all this now is because we miss or don't wish to see the real purpose of a walker in our life instead we take pride in the walker for its beauty, strength, ornamentalism and comparing it with others walkers. Precious time too lost in this manner. This act is won't bring laurels to walker but only boost ones ego indirectly. Walker is put in front to show/feel oneself bigger than another and feeling pride in that ego trip. One is conpletely free(d) if they realise this dirty game of the mind.
The real purpose of walker is achieved when one is able to walk steadily without a walker. That is the real respect for a walker.
